Zenit St. Petersburg officially announce contract termination with Mancini by mutual agreement: coach set to take Italy job

Roberto Mancini is only one step away from becoming the next Italy coach. Mancini and his club, Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg, have in fact officially reached an agreement on the caoch's contract termination by mutual consent, as announced by Zenit on their official website: "Mr Mancini's contract will end with Zenit on Monday 14 May 2018. Roberto Mancini joined Zenit on 1 June 2017 and has overseen 44 official matches, including 21 victories, 13 draws and 10 defeats. The club wish Roberto Mancini all the best with his future endeavours and thank him for his time in St. Petersburg. The contract will be terminated by mutual consent without any compensation payable". The former Inter manager will be on the Russian team's bench for the last time today for the game against Ska-Khabarovsk, before starting a new chapter of his career with the Azzurri.
