Yilmaz, Celik, Yazıcı: Lille is dreaming thanks to its Turkish column

Lille gets another win and makes another step forward towards Ligue 1 title. After last weekend comeback against Lyon, this Saturday Galtier's team has won with a 2-0 against Nice. Zeki Celik and Burak Yilmaz (14 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances) were the two goalscorers: if Lille keeps being at the top of the table and PSG is just following, Turkish players in the team have a big merit.

Burak Yilmaz - He's called Kral (king in Turkish). He's been an idol in Istanbul and now he's again an idol in Lille as he keeps proving to be a goalscorer despite his age (35). This is just his first season in one of the big five European leagues: "I often wonder what my career would have been if I had joined one of this leagues since I was young, but I don't have regrets in my life". He even received several opportunities from Serie A teams, two times with Lazio and Lecce, but negotiations stopped aside.

Zeki Celik - An Orient express as a right back: a player who has been pursued by Fonseca's Roma in January. Celik is an ideal and modern fullback: a complete right-back able to defend and attack, he's even the habit to score: already three in the league this year, and in all these matches (against Strasbourge, Metz and Nice) his compatriot Yilmaz has joined him in the scoresheet.

And then the Prince, Yusuf Yazici. Just ask to Milan fans: he scored three goals in the away win against the Italian giants in last November Europa League match (0-3). A 24 years old playmaker with an imposing physique, a great quality and game vision. He's already played with Burak Yilmaz with Trabzonspor, in 2017/2018 they were an amazing couple worth 33 goals and 9 assists.

Lille is dreaming the title, mainly thanks to its Turkish column. Italian National team will face them on 11th June in Rome, in the opening Euro 2020 match.
