Wijnaldum is on route to Rome: the figures of the deal

Finally it is done. Georgino Wijnaldum is about to land in the capital to become a new Roma player. After weeks of negotiations, between PSG, the player and the Giallorossi club, in the last few hours the white smoke has arrived that has given the green light to the departure of the Dutch midfielder to Rome. He will arrive in Ciampino in the late afternoon, immediately carry out medical examinations and then move to Trigoria to sign the contract and have the first contact with his new coach José Mourinho.

Georgino Wijnaldum arrives at Roma on loan with the option to buy set at 8 million. The Giallorossi will pay about 50% of the salary that the player receives in Paris – 7 million plus 3 million bonuses – coming to spend about 5 million euros net. Fundamental in the negotiation is the renunciation of Wijnaldum to 1 million euros gross, just to speed up the closure.

The Giallorossi company has made available a private flight that departed from Rotterdam a few minutes ago picking up Wijnaldum's family. Now the flight will head to Paris, where the player will also board, whose arrival in Ciampino is scheduled at 17.30.
