Venezia target Niang & Caldara: the situation

Venezia have been active in the transfer window after returning to Serie A. The club has targeted younger prospects as weak as some veterans recently including M'Baye Niang who previously played in Italy at Milan, Genoa and Torino.

 An official offer has yet to be name to Rennes, but the initial contacts with the French club have begun, Venezia want to gauge the player's interest and the margins for a potential deal.

 In addition to Niang, Venezia are also interested in Mattia Caldara who returned to Milan after his recent loan to Atalanta, the Italian center back could be right addition for Zanetti's defense.
