Torreira:"I heard talks of Roma & other clubs, but my priority was Sampdoria"

Last season Lucas Torreira established himself as one of the most promising players in Serie A. The Sampdoria midfielder discussed the transfer rumors he was involved in during the summer and his plans for the future in an interview with Il Messagero:"I dealt with it with tranquility because I was in Uruguay with my family. I heard there was talk of Roma and other clubs. My priority was to extend with Sampdoria and I'm very happy I stayed here. Taking a leap forward with my career elsewhere? Certainly it's important to plan on it since I'm 21, but this could take place at big clubs in Italy or Europe. In any event my focus is only on Sampdoria"
