Torino, Rennes to activate option on Niang

The transfer market has not officially opened, but Torino have already made some significant sales. In addition to the 6.5 million option taken up by Besiktas for Ljajic and the 2 million for Avelar, an important communication was sent to President Cairo today: Rennes has decided to activate their 15 million option on M’Baye Niang (which wasn’t obligatory). The former Milan player is fresh off of a French cup victory and his desire was to remain with the club, and his wish looks set to be granted. With this sale, which still needs to be made official, it means Torino already have 23.5 million incoming. This also closes the rapport between the club and director of sport Petrarchi, who is close to receiving the same title with Roma.
