Tommasi:”Italian football needs someone who knows the pitch to lead the federation”

The race to replace Carlo Tavecchio has started, and Damian’s Tommasi is one of the front runners to lead the Italian federation. The current president of the player’s association discussed his platform in an interview with Corriere dello Sport:”We are convinced that none of the other candidates is what we want to lead the new Federation. I’m running to change Italian football, I’m not here to look for roles or a career. Calcio needs someone who knows the pitch, the locker rooms, the value of a sporting background.
