The upcoming game against Juventus and the fight for a Champions League spot: Milan, the words of Abate

Milan is going through a rough moment in their season, receiving just one point from their last three matches. Things will not get easier for the rossoneri, as they are set to face Juventus on Saturday at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. Milan veteran Ignazio Abate spoke to Sky Sport about the club's current moment: "The game against Juventus comes at the right time for us after a complicated period. We will play our game. It's not good that Juventus has the game against Ajax coming up, because the most important games, as the coach says, are those preceding a huge game, those that help you be at the top."

"The group? It's calm and we will give everything we have on the field. We are facing a moment of physiological issues but the average age of the team is young. We find oursevles in a place in the table that we dreamed of at the beginning of the season. At this point in the last few seasons we were many points behind the Champions League spots, now we are in the top places in the table in fourth place and we want to hold onto this position with a strong grip and with our teeth."

Abate spoke about the race for the Champions League, saying: "I don't remember a race like this for fourth place. The league has leveled out at the top and there are also Atalanta, Torino and Sampdoria in the race. But I am sure we will have a great rest of the season. I remember those months in which we had many injuries and we had a turning point thanks to the manager, who took away all excuses. They are very important players, but we have others in the team who can replace them and in front of us we have an important goal we must focus on."
