Taison takes a stand against racism:”I will never be silent”

His tears moved everyone and highlighted the continued problem of racism in football stadiums. Taison reacted in a similar manner to Balotelli's recent incident in Verona during the match between Shakhtar and Dinamo Kiev, after receiving racial abuse, the Brazilian striker kicked the ball in the stands and raised his middle finger. The referee gave him a red card and Taison burst into tears.

Taison wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram to express his frustration:"I love my race, I fight for my color, everything I do is out of love. I will never remain silent in front of a such a despicable and  unhuman act. My tears were out of indignation, repudiation and powerlessness because I couldn't do anything in that moment . But we were taught to be strong and fight back. I fight for our rights  and equalness. My role is to fight, pump my chest, lift my head and always fight"
