Sweden coach Andersson on Ibrahimovic: "If he wants to come back he must come forward and say it."

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimvoic is the league's current top scorer at 39 years old, but despite his play he has not worn Sweden's jersey since 2016 when Janne Andersson took over as manager. The pair do not share an ideal relationshopp. Ibrahimovic recently posted a social media message containing a photo with the Swedish national team shirt. As reported by Swedish paper Aftonbladet, Andersson is open for Ibrahimovic to return: "Zlatan can post what he likes on social media, but I do not follow him. In 2016 he told me that he wanted to leave, I respected his choice. Now it is up to him, if he wants to join the natioinal team he must change his mind and say so clearly. Then I would be free to welcome him. I would be lying to say his recent success is a surprise. But I am impressed and taken with how he is able to maintain his hunger, his high standards in all that he does. He is a great athlete, by a wide margin the best Swedish player of all time."
