Southampton, medicals underway for Lyanco: the latest

Lyanco is close to making his move to Southampton official. The defender is undergoing medicals with the club ahead of joining Hasenhuttl's squad.

The deal is a straight sale with Southampton paying a fee around €7.5 million plus €2.5 million bonuses to Torino. The Saints beat out Watford's interest in the player's services.

The player's will to transfer to England was decisive. He communicated that same message to Southampton. He is now ready to join the Premier League club.

Lyanco appeared in 53 matches with Torino, also playing on loan at Bologna in 2018-19. He appeared in 25 matches last season with one goal in all competitions.
