“I’ve got to go home, heal my wounds and think”. These are the words El Cholo Simeone used to express himself after the bitter night in Milan which saw his men lose the second Champions League final in three years, once again against rivals Real Madrid. Sure he had to think, but what about? Simeone had to think about his future in Madrid and the offers he’s received. There is one offer that particularly caught Simeone’s interest, that of Paris Saint-Germain. Simeone’s intention however is to remain at the Calderon and eventually turned down the French club’s advances, at least he’s turned down this first offer. As things stand, Simeone’s future remains in Spain as he is beginning to program the transfer window along with the Roji-Blanco staff.
