Serie A, latest on the season from the league's assembly

A new League Assembly took place on Friday to continue discussions around the suspended season. Among the discussion topics were talks of a return to training, which has not yet been given a definitive date (and will not be on 4 April). Serie A is propsing a uniform restart for everyone, which will come 21 days before the restart of the season. Based on examinations 10 May would the latest date to restart matches to be able to finish before 30 June. If the season extends into July considerations will need to be made to extend contracts and loans.

The idea to finish the season with a playoff and playout, as of today, is not being seriously considered. The group plans to finish the season with all taking part to lessen the economic toll.
