Sassuolo nearing agreement with Zenit for defender Mammana

Argentinian centre-back Emanuel Mammana could be on his way to Italy as Sassuolo and Zenit have made progress towards the completion of the deal that could bring the player in Italy. The defender, who has received three call-ups from his national team, would join the Neroverdi on loan with option to buy, with the total value of the deal being in the region of 10-11 million euros.

Mammana could be the second player with international experience - the first being former Borussia Dortmund full-back Toljan -  to sign for Sassuolo, as the Neroverdi are looking to raise the bar of their ambition for the upcoming season.
