Sampdoria, Torreria: "When I joined there was an issue with my contract, we have to fix it"
Torreira has wasted no time making an impression in the Serie A after a good season in the Serie B. The player spoke about his situation at the club and the interest of other clubs in him:
"When I joined two years ago I had a contractual issue and now the time to solve it has come" - he says to Gazzetta Dello Sport - "As a footballer I give my heart out for Sampdoria. I believe I deserve attention. I don't want to come across as ill intentioned, I have 5 brothers I want to help in everything. Sampdoria is very important to me and my life and I'd like to thank the fans, without them it would be hard to continue. First of all I'm an honest person. It's the last time I speak about my contract, my agent will take care of it from now on".
On the topic of Sevilla and Roma's strong interest in him: "In football you have to be prepared for everything. I train to the max of my abilities because it is so unpredictable. Sevilla and Roma are two very important clubs. If one day I were to go to either of these clubs I would give it my everything like I do now. I have always dreamed of playing for a big club and people don't imagine how many sacrifices me and my family have made to get here. My agent Pablo Betancur wants the best for me and we will make sure everything is okay with the club, I came to Sampdoria as a nobody and I will leave only through the main door".
