Sampdoria pursue Sensi while taking lead in Piccoli race

Sampdoria are very active on the transfer market as they are determined to get out of the race to avoid relegation. After reaching an agreement with Verona for Magnani on loan with option to buy, the blucerchiati are working on two other deals.

 Sampdoria have surpassed cross town rivals Genoa in the race for striker Roberto Piccoli and they are now the favorites to land him.

 In addition, Sampdoria are working on landing Stefano Sensi to bolster D'Aversa's midfield. The former Sassuolo player has struggled to find playing time with Inzaghi, but it remains to be seen if he's willing to accept a transfer to Sampdoria.
