Sampdoria overtake the competition for Caceres: the latest

Sampdoria are looking to reinforce Roberto D'Aversa backline during this transfer market.

 The first name on the list is Martin Caceres. The Cagliari defender was contacted by Salernitana and Karagumruk, but Sampdoria have entered into the race. 

They have indeed overtaken the competition, but they haven't close the deal yet. Contacts are ongoing after they started during the possible Murru-Lykogiannis exchange. 

 Caceres and Godin are set to leave the club, but it remains to be seen where the former Juventus defender will end up. In the meantime, Sampdoria are in pole position.
