Sampdoria, Muriel:"I no longer want to be a disappointment"

Luis Muriel's career has been a rollercoaster ride so far- he went from being the "new Ronaldo" in 2012 to almost being an afterthought last year. The Colombian striker talked to Gazzetta dello Sport about how he no longer wants to disappoint those around him:"I would like to eliminate this word since it's the one I'm reminded of the most: I impressed and then disappointed. Others but especially myself: I was at Lecce and there was talk about Milan and Inter, I was at Udinese and it looked like Atletico Madrid wanted me, even Barcelona. But instead I had a great start and then a big letdown. This upset those who believed in me: my father and Alessandro Lucci, who is more part of the family than my agent. But now enough with disappointing, this isn't my year. I'm not sure what triggered in my mind, but I told myself:"Everyone expects you to fail: this time surprise them. Not with a new trick on the pitch: but with a new mentality"
