Sampdoria, Giampaolo remains favorite to replace Ranieri: the situation

Following Claudio Ranieri's departure, Sampdoria are pondering options at the manager position. The favorite remains Marco Giampaolo who previously coached the club, there have been recent conversations with the former Empoli manager.
