Sampdoria, Ekdal transfer down to final details

With the start of the Serie A season rapidly approaching, Sampdoria get ready to welcome a new addition to bolster their midfield. The negotiations between the blucerchiati and German side Hamburg over Albin Ekdal have in fact entered the final stages as an agreement over the transfer fee of €2 million has finally been reached. The two clubs are now discussing the final details, such as bonuses, and the Swedish midfielder is expected to arrive in Italy on Sunday or Monday at the latest. Ekdal, with Hamburg since 2015, will return to Serie A after his stints with Juventus, Siena, Bologna and Cagliari.
