Sampdoria complete deal for Chabot: player to undergo medicals on Friday

While there are only 90 minutes left to be played on the pitch this season, Sampdoria are already looking for reinforcement for the next campaign. Coach Giampaolo's future remains uncertain, however the club is already planning ahead, as they have completed a deal for Julian Chabot.

Chabot, a centre-back born in 1998, will join the Blucerchiati from Dutch side Groningen for the sum of 3.7 million euros. The defender will arrive in Italy next Friday to undergo the medicals with his new team and then pen a 5-year deal to start a new chapter of his career in Serie A.
