The Belgian defender arrives on a loan from Barcelona , here is the official note on the matter: "Barcelona and Roma have found an agreement for the loan of Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen for the 2016/17. The agreement includes an option to buy-back in Roma's favor at the end of the 2016/2017 season".
