Roma, Ranieri: "The best game since I've been here. Conte? I'd be happy if he came."

Claudio Ranieri spoke on Roma's performance after their 3-0 victory over Cagliari.

"This is the best game we've played since I've arrived. The two goals at the beginning of the match calmed us and allowed the players to show their qualities."

On Pastore's performance: "I decided to start him from the 1' because he's trained well for two weeks. Today we played as a team and it needs to be like that, without ego or players that hold onto the ball too long. We were able to do that for 90'."

On the team's hopes for Champions League and the upcoming market: "I don't watch the other teams. Tomorrow is a holiday and I'll spend it with family. The fact is that important players left and those who stayed haven't accepted this until recently. There was a lack of agreement internally, I think that the new players weren't helped by the old ones. Not because they didn't want to, but because they were living in the past. These are things that weigh on a locker room. Now we're taking back that knowledge."

On rumors that Antonio Conte may take over the Roma bench: "Would I like to see him in my place? Certainly, if Antonio must come here I would be very happy."
