Roma, Perotti: "The worst season of my career. De Rossi? He deserves a great last match"
Roma winger Diego Perotti spoke to the team's match proogram ahead the match against Sassuolo, touching on his and the team's season as well as the departure of Daniele De Rossi: "Fortunately I have recovered from this last injury which unfortunately caused me to miss out in the game at Genova. I reentered against Juve, on the bench, but luckily I am available for the coach and my teammates."
"Champions? Too bad it doesn't depend only on us, we can only get six points and see what happens. If it only depended on us it would be different, but we didn't do very well, we didn't do what was expected. The lost points are making things difficult for us. It has been the worst year of my career, I have never had this long of an absence. I have had problems that have forced me out and to watch my teammates on TV."
"De Rossi? I have spent four seasons next to him in the dressing room at the Olimpico. I have seen him take anti-inflamatory medicine like they were candy so he could play for Roma. We want to do well for him, for us, and for the fans. He deserves the best final compared to what we have done until now."
"My Future? I only see Roma. I renewed my contract last year until 2021 and I don't think of anything else. Above all becuase it's not what I want. This season, when I've played I've given my best, I surely could have one done more like everyone else, but I have given 100%. I want to do better, like past years; I only see the Roma shirt."
