Roma, Pellegrini: "My future? To have a clause doesn't mean you must leave"
Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini had a good first season in Rome and he spoke of his future with the club at an awards ceremony that honors Beppe Viola at Coni. Before speaking about his future, Pellegrini spoke about the next match against his former club, Sassuolo, which is the last game of the Serie A season: "Against Sassuolo we want to win just like we wanted to win yesterday against Juventus, we want to finish in 3rd place. The bianconeri were less interested in a victory, they only needed one point to become champions. It is pleasing to receive this award after Florenzi."
He then continued about his future and his release clause: "The season is not yet finished, in any case to have a release clause doesn't mean you must leave. At the end of the season we will meet with whoever is necessary to understand the situation. But I am calm. Di Francesco? For me and my growth he has been very important, I must thank him, we have gone through a lot together. National team? To wear the Italy shirt is always an extraordinary emotion, I hope to be a part of it in the future. We will bring the national team back to where it belongs."
