Roma-Manchester United, ongoing negotiation for Smalling

Since arriving at the end of the summer transfer window, Chris Smalling has established himself as one of the pillars of Fonseca's squad. Roma acquired the English defender on loan for €3 million and are working on signing him on a permanent basis- next week could see a break through in the negotiations with Manchester United

The agreement between the clubs could be reached on the basis of €12 million plus around €3 million in bonuses. Last night Roma director Petrachi announced that a lot will depend on the will of the player but that they were ready to intensify their efforts.
