Roma interested in Atletico Madrid's defender Nehuen Perez

After the departure of Smalling, Roma are looking to potential recruitment to strengthen their defence. While the Manchester United centre-back remains the priority, the Giallorossi are also considering different targets and among these there is Atletico Madrid's Nehuen Perez.

The Argentinian, born in 2000, spent last season on loan to Famalicao in the Portuguese Liga NOS, making 23 appearances and scoring one goal.

Roma's defence could change significantly as also Federico Fazio could leave the club, with Cagliari and Fiorentina interested in signing him.
