Roma has deal with Malmö for Johansson: player wants starting role
While waiting to see what Alisson's future will be, Roma is being cautious and closing the deal for Marko Johansson. born in 1998 and owned by Malmö. An agreement was found with the Swedish club for a transfer in June for a fee of 2 million euros plus 1.5 million euros in bonus. Roma is only missing an agreement with the player because he doesn't want to leave to play as a reserve after starting on loan at Trelleborg. "Either I start or I stay in Sweden" is what the player expressed to the Malmö directors. Red Bull Leipzig is also interested in the keeper with the possiblity of losing Peter Gulasci at the end of the season, which means they could offer him a starting role.
The ball is in Johansson's court with Roma observing from afar. Roma's will is clear, as they are trying to extend Alisson's contract and making the Swedish keeper as his reserve. Real Madrid is strongly interested in the Brazillian keeper and just in case he leaves, the Blancos would be in pole positon for his signature by already having a deal with the Brazillian's agent. Roma has an secure starter, but they don't have an in-house substitute to replace Alisson if necessary. Monchi doesn't want to be caught off guard and Johansson is a way to be cautious with the transfer market a ways away. Discussions will take place about the Brazillian keeper at the end of the season.
