Roma, from Xhaka to options upfront: the latest

After welcoming Rui Patricio and Matias Vina, Roma are working on bolstering their midfield and attack.

 Granit Xhaka is the top choice for the midfield, but while Roma has already agreed to personal terms with the Swiss international, after the unexpected expenditure to sign Vina to replace the injured Spinazzola, they need to make some sales to make an adequate offer to Arsenal.

 For the frontline, Sardar Azmoun is the top choice, but the competition from Bayer Leverkusen has made his a complicated deal to complete.

 As an alternative, Roma are considering Eldor Shomurodov (8 goals in 31 matches last season) since he's a player that Mourinho likes a lot, but while the contacts have started with the player's entourage they will also have to find a formula for a deal to satisfy Genoa. As a third choice, Roma are considering Alexander Sorloth, who is owned by Leipzig.
