Roma, Fonseca: "We should be permitted to train at Trigoria"

Roma coach Paulo Fonseca discussed his view on the current stoppage of the league, amid a number of other coutries announcing that matches would not restart. The debate over Serie A restarting remains open, and Fonseca discussed it with TeleradioStereo: "Football should start wiht training. It's absurd that one can go running in a park full of people but that we cannot train at Trigoria. We have three pitches there and all the conditions for safely restarting training. Serie A can be a vehicle to help distract from problems in society. I am very proud to be the coach of Roma, the club is showing that it has a very strong sense of the problems within the city and beyond. It is strengthening the bonds it shares with people and that is more important that any result. I am completely in love with the city and the club. We have a great management and we want to create the conditions to win. The relationship with the fans is truly a special one. I first knew I wanted to coach Roma after the match at the Olimpico with Shakhtar. There was a magical atmosphere."
