Roma, Fonseca: "I am proud of my team but I don't understand the decisions of the referee"

After getting a draw against Sassuolo at home playing with ten men for most of the game, Roma's coach Paulo Fonseca discussed the the game and the referee decisions in the post-match interview with Sky Sport: "I am very proud of the team, we played a good match. We had better chances to score and we didn't let Sassuolo have scoring opportunities. Today the team played well, after the result against Napoli we saw where we have to improve".

"I don't understan the decisions of the referee. I don't get how he could book Pedro for the first foul and how Obiang's foul on Pellegrini was only a yellow. The referee might not have seen it, but we have VAR for that. I think that there was also a penalty for us that it wasn't given. In the first half we made four fouls and got four yellow cards", concluded Fonseca.
