Roma, Di Francesco:”De Rossi will miss Fiorentina & CSKA matches”

Roma’s last win in Serie A dates back to the match against Empoli and now Eusebio Di Francesco is hopeful a return to Tuscany will bring good luck when they face Fiorentina at the Franchi stadium on Saturday. But the giallorossi’s manager will have to do without captain Daniele De Rossi a fact he disclosed during today’s press conference: “He won’t be selected and he’ll also be out in the Champions League against CSKA while Manolas will be available, Kluivert and Pastore will be selected. Cristante is one of the best on the team from the physical stand point, but the mental aspect is the most important for all involved. We are working a lot on this, but I can’t say if he’ll be De Rossi’s replacement. We also have Pellegrini who can play in that role”

Di Francesco was also asked about a potential change in formation: “Anything can happen, but the last time with the 4 3 3 I saw the team was very tentative so as of now we’ll stick to the formation from the last period, I don’t want to change the system to the team, the concept is always about attitude. As an example Napoli are always aggressive on the ball carriers, this is something we lack and must find as soon as possible. This is what we are working on the most and what I want”
