Roma, Di Francesco: "Schick will start, he's improving. Manolas won't be available for the game"
With the 4-1 win against Sampdoria in the last Serie A game before the international break, Roma have proved that they are still a serous contendere for one of the Champions League spots. Giallorossi's coach Eusebio Di Francesco wants his team to pick up from where they left, as he made clear in the press conference ahead of the Udinese game: "The team have come back in good physical shape after the international break. Udinese are a physical side and don’t deserve to be where they are in the table. We need to get our approach spot on, we can think about other games later."
The coach also gave some hints on the line-up: "Schick will start tomorrow, he showed good things both with Roma and the national team. He is improving after a rough start, I hope that he can keep showing his progress. He has to be consistent in scoring, no matter how he scores them, but he has to put the ball in the back of the net. Kolarov is fine, while Santon had a bit of a flu but he trained with the team and he is available. We must not rush De Rossi and Perotti's recoveries, they will miss the Real Madrid game. We want to be cautious. Manolas has not recovered yet and won't travel with the squad, he still has pain in his ankle. We will try to have him back for the Champions League game", concluded Di Francesco.
