Roma await Abraham decision after reaching agreement with Chelsea
Roma are looking for a striker and they seem to have made their decision on their main target: Chelsea's Tammy Abraham. The English striker will in fact see his game time reduced by the imminent arrival of Romelu Lukaku at the Blues.
The Giallorossi have made significant progress in the talks with Chelsea for the striker. The two clubs have reached an agreement on the basis of an initial €5 million payment and an additional €35-40 million to be paid in the next few seasons. The clubs have yet to agree on the formula of the transfer - a loan with obligation to buy or a permanent deal - however they have reached an agreement on the installment plan of the deal.
Now the ball is back in Abraham's court, who has yet to make a final decision. The Englishman seemed also a potential target for Atalanta, however the negotiations hit an impasse.
In the last few days, Arsenal revealed their interest in Abraham, who - for his part - would be open to a move to the Gunners. Arsenal, however, have to sell one of their striker - likely Lacazette - before focusing on another addition to their front line.
Roma are willing to wait a few days for the player's decision, and they have set a deadline for Thursday-Friday before shifting their focus on other targets. While they want to make an investement on a young, strong striker, the Gialorossi also intend to start the Serie A season with Dzeko's replacement already in their squad.
