Ranieri: “Proud to pass the torch of Champions to Conte: A tribute to Italian school of thought”

As the Premier League crowns their new champions, the throne continues to belong to an Italian coach. Here is what Ranieri said on the matter while speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport:

“I’m proud to pass the torch of Champions to Conte, from Italian to Italian: A true tribute to the Italian footballing school of thought. After the fairy tale that was Leicester, it wasn’t easy to win the league on the first try. From team management, to relations with the players, Conte was superb in every aspect. He presented himself correctly by speaking English in his first press conference from day one. He became an idol to the fans: The passion he shows on the bench is a testament to the way he lives his work. Once again, the Italian school of thought has proven to be one of the best in the world”.
