Puyol:"Had I left Barcelona it would have only been to join Milan"

While he appeared in over 600 matches for Barcelona and collected one hundreds caps for Spain, Charles Puyol left football with a regret because he was unable to keep playing. The center back talked about his career in an interview with Extra Time:"I had to close with football because of a serious injury to my knee. The first year it was very hard. Barcelona is the team I have in my heart, it was my home for 19 years. Many great teammates who were above all great friends. Lus Enrique, Pique', Iniesta, Xavi, Abidal and I'm forgetting someone. Leave Spain? I wouldn't have had a reason, my team was winning. If I had to choose I would have picked Milan. I hope they return to the top level soon"
