Pique’:”Ferguson was like a father. Neymar? He was happy at Barcelona”

Between the past and the future. Many assume that Gerard Pique’ will transition to manager position once his playing days end, but in an recent interview with L’Equipe the Barcelona defender indicated he has other plans:”I don’t see myself in that position. Managing twenty four players with their egos is hard. I see myself as an entrepreneur or business man”

One manager who did make a great impression on Pique’ was Sir Alex Ferguson:”He was like a second father for me. Going to Manchester was the hardest decision, I was seventeen. He helped me a lot. I’ve been inspired by the way he handled each situation. What impressed me the most was his leadership in the hard times. I learned from him every day”

In closing Pique’ was asked about Neymar:”He’s a great player and I think he will continue to do well at PSG. In the future we’ll see, what I do know is he was happy at Barcelona”.
