Parma, Gervinho: "I embrace the role of veteran. The failed transfer to Inter? ..."

Gervinho has embarked on a three season stint at Parma, arriving after his time in China, becoming a refernce point for the squad in his time there since 2018. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ivorian discussed his times there: "Parma this summer faced many changes but the structure remains intact. Being one of the veterans of the group, I look to bring something positive to my teammates."

Gervinho also discssed a potential move to Inter last summer that didn't materialize: "I know that there were contacts between Parma and Inter because my agent told me, but at the end there was no agreement found. If I was a target of the nerazzurri that makes me happy, but I don't know anything more about it."
