The 2018-19 Roma season did not bring club president James Pallotta the results hoped for, as the club missed out on qualifying for Champions League and the sacked manager Eusebio Di Francesco. The season made a turn for the better, though, when Claudio Ranieri arrived to replace Di Francesco, and Pallotta spoke on the former Leicester manager.

"When we needed someone to come in a difficult moment, Claudio immediately said 'yes.' He's not only a great manager and professional, but a true gentleman and a great Roman. On behalf of the entire club, I want to thank him."

Pallotta then spoke on Daniele De Rossi's final match in the giallorosso shirt: "I also want to thank the fans at the stadium yesterday evening for giving Danielle De Rossi an extraordinary homage after representing the fans on the pitch for 18 years. The demonstration of love and the support from everyone was incredible."
