Niang agrees to join Venezia, completion of the deal forthcoming

M'Baye Niang is moving from Ligue 1 back to Serie A ahead of next season, following up a year spent between Rennes and Al-Ahli. The Sengalese forward has decided to join Venezia. 

Overnight, Venezia received the player's assent, he came to the decision after several days. In just the past hours the choice has been finalized, Niang enthusiastic with the idea of a new adventure in Serie A.

The deal between Venezia and Rennes had been close for some time, the clubs met a week ago to discuss the operation. Rennes allowed the deal ahead on the formula of a loan with purchase option.

Niang, who joined Milan as a 17-year old, has recorded in Serie A 107 appearances, 17 goals and 13 assists. Now 26, he will join Paolo Zanetti's attacking trident capable both as a striker and on the wing.

The deal with Venezia is now set to close, with Niang returning to Serie A after a three-year absence.
