Napoli, trip to Madrid for James Rodriguez: the latest

Napoli are determined to close the deal for James Rodriguez and today sporting director Giuntoli travelled to Spain to try to make progress. The Colombian star’s agent Jorge Mendes was in Madrid as well to welcome him, it remains to be seen if they already had a meeting with Real Madrid or if it will happen down the road.

Giuntoli’s trip is however a clear sign Napoli want to make progress to try to fend off competition from Atletico Madrid.
