Napoli, successful surgery for Chiriches

Napoli defender Vlad Chiriches was operated today for a knee injury that was sustained during the Romania-Montenegro match last week. Napoli released a statement, saying in part: "The surgery was successfully completed by Doctor Mariani. Chiriches was also aided by Doctor De Nicola. The Azzurri defender will rest for a couple of days at the clinic before starting his rehabilitation."
