​Napoli, Insigne and De Laurentiis reach agreement for renewal

The news is now official; Lorenzo Insigne has renewed his contract with Napoli until 2022. In a press conference, club owner De Laurentiis wanted to make things clear: “He is the symbol of this team, and I’m happy for this. I’ll never get tired of reminding everyone. In Italy, coming second is like winning the title. Sooner or later we’ll win the super title as well. Forcing players to stay makes no sense, but Lorenzo showed his desire to stay. Sarri? I enjoy the transfer talks about him, perhaps they’ll fail to take him away since I know a thing or two about making contracts”.

Insigne showed his happiness as well: “I’m more than happy because this has been my dream ever since I was a kid. I’m proud to have renewed for another five years. I hope to never take off this jersey, and to win some more trophies, the fans deserve it”.
