After the loss to Parma in his debut, Rino Gattuso is looking to close the year with his first win as Napoli's coach. The former Milan manager discussed his state of mind in the pre match press conference as he gets ready to face Sassuolo:"I'm not afraid, I have to show I'm tough to give serenity to the squad. The last win in Emilia against Sassuolo dates back to 2014, history isn't on our side but it can be changed. We can't worry on the pitch, we must feel loose without looking at the standings. We need to look at the quality and quantity of what you do during the week"

Gattuso was asked about two key players that have expiring contracts:"Mertens and Callejon? I hope to have them, but it takes two to tango. The club and the players want the same things, we'll see: I don't get into certain topics because we have an excellent sporting director. If you ask for my opinion, I hope they stay so I can coach them with continuity"
