Napoli, De Laurentiis: "I offered Sarri a contract extension, when he'll want to sign it we'll be there"
Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli's president, has faced various subjects speaking at the presentation of the "Race for the cure" spot at the Cinema home in Rome He's started with his coach's future: "Sarri has a contract until 2020, the extension has already been offered to him. We met in January in Tuscany. Sarri perfectly knows how I feel and he's got all my esteem. So when he'll want to sign, even after modifications as we're open to rational and democratic discussions, we'll be there. His arrival was my decision, the fans were not happy with it but I've got a thick skin and knew what I was doing. I've always chosen the coaches and I don't think I did bad until now".
The president has then added: "Could Sarri terminate his contract? Sure, but first we would talk about it together about what we should do, then we'd look for a solution. I'm available 24 hours on 24. I work in Italy and in the United States, I don't care about the time, I'm always there. Will I support Roma in Champions League? Sure, I always support Italian teams".
"Super Champions League? On the international level there should be less games and teams. Everyone should play against everyone, in a Super League. UEFA plays deaf for years though, even if the current president is smart and prepared. Otherwise associations of European football clubs should create an alternative league".
