Napoli, De Laurentiis: "Donnarumma's situation? Similar experience with Lavezzi"

Aurelio De Laurentiis, someone who knows very well about managing a team and the unexpected things that come along with it, spoke to Radio 24 about Milan's situation with Gianluigi Donnarumma. He said, "I would have known earlier about an unhappy player. When Lavezzi asked me to be sold, I told him to stay calm and relax, and that I would sell him in the following year if I received a good price. Otherwise he would have remained with Napoli and he agreed. Perhaps Gigio feels the weight of playing goalie in this situation, with ten players that are not considered exceptional in terms of chemistry. Milan must be strong, it depends on how they create their contracts. Mine are like in the film industry, consisting of 120 pages, others like to do it with a two page template. The team has not yet had time to mold as they changed managers and now inserted one with grit and personality."

De Laurentiis then went on to speak about the possible new stadium project, "they won't let us invest, not even to make the current stadium functional. The city doesn't invest, they said that they received a loan from a sports creditor, but I have seen very little. The absurd thing about it is that now the Universiade track event is coming and brings more than 200 million euros, and they want to use 4 to redo the track. I believe they should host this event elsewhere, because my plan is to bring the stands all the way up to the sideline: imagine the affect that would have."
