Napoli, Ancelotti:”No competition between Mertens & Milik”

After the win against Lazio in season opener, Carlo Ancelotti is now ready to make his debut at the San Paolo as Napoli’s manager. The former Real Madrid coach was asked about facing some familiar faces during today’s pre match press conference:”I often talk to Rino Gattuso, meeting him, Leonardo and Maldini is always a pleasure. It will be an important match, we want to introduce Napoli well to our fans and improve on what we did last Sunday. It will be an interesting match, hopefully a beautiful one for us in the end. We want to do well in front of our crowd and get three points”

Ancelotti was also asked about his options upfront and at keeper position:”We have a squad of a high level, each time when I decide who to send on the pitch, I’ll make the evaluations more useful and functional for the team. Rivalry between Milik and Mertens? There’s no rivalry, sometimes one will play, sometimes the other and sometimes together because Mertens can play in other positions. Who is the favorite between Ospina and Karnezis? Both are, they each have a chance to play a great match”
