Mourinho first quotes as Tottenham head coach: "I am excited to be joining Spurs"

Josè Mourinho is set to go back to the Premier League, as Tottenham have announced the hiring of the Portuguese coach as replacement to sacked Mauricio Pochettino.

The former Manchester United boss, who returns to England almost one year after parting ways with the Red Devils, revealed his eagerness to get going at his new club: "I am excited to be joining a club with a great heritage and such passionate supporters", Mourinho told Sky Sports UK. "The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me, working with these players is what attracted me", the Portuguese concluded.
