Mirallas:”I agreed to lower my wages to join Fiorentina, but I’m happy”

After previously playing in France, Greece and England now Kevin Mirallas is ready to start the next chapter of his career in Italy. The Belgian international born in ‘87 spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about his decision to join Fiorentina:”Two years ago Corvino had tried to bring me to Florence. But at that time Everton had asked for an insane figure and Fiorentina were right to let it go. To ensure the negotiation continued this time I lowered my wages. I renounced to a lot of money but I’m happy. In Serie A I’ll get back the joy to play football and the goal is to bring back Fiorentina to Europa, a goal that we can achieve”

Because of an injury Mirallas has yet to make his debut:”We want to continue on this journey, with humility but also the desire to grow. I can’t wait to debut in the league, but at the moment some physical discomfort is slowing me down, but it will be addressed
