Milan keep working to bolster their squad for next season, when they will return to the Champions League after 8 years.

The Rossoneri are pushing to keep Brahim Diaz for at least one more season, as the talks with Real Madrid over a loan with option to buy set at €20 million continue. Madrid's newly appointed coach Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be willing to give his greenlight for the departure of the young Spaniard.

The Italian club are also working to sign Chelsea's striker Olivier Giroud. Early next week Milan will hold more talks with the player's agent.

The Rossoneri expect to receive some updates on the striker's desire to leave Chelsea for free, while making their offer to the Frenchman: a two-year-deal worth up to €5 million per season before taxes.

Milan are also interested in Toulouse's attacking midfielder Amine Adli, who could play in many different positions in Pioli's attack.

For the defence, the Rossoneri have made an initial offer to Manchester United to extend Dalot's loan and include also an option to buy the Portuguese and now they are waiting for an offer from the English club while also continuing their pursuit of Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo. A player that will remain at Milan is Fikayo Tomori: his signing will become official early next week.
